This is one of the few elements of the old 13th-century castle-palace of Terrassa which has remained in situ. It is the city’s most iconic building  because it is a visible reference to the medieval town of Terrassa, the seed of the modern city.

\ The Centre d’Interpretació de la Vila Medieval deTerrassa (CIVMT) presents an audiovisual which explains the origins of the medieval town of Terrassa and contains a small section of the defensive city’s defensive moat, an underground gallery, a cold room and a baker’s oven from 1839.
