Catalogued as a Cultural Asset of National Interest, it is home to the permanent exhibition entitled "A Place Called Cambrils", a collection of documents, photographs and other evidence showing the importance of the town in the Middle Ages. Visitors learn how its location near the sea, the Mare de Déu del Camí chapel and the royal highway and the roads to the interior of the country led the Crown of Aragon to grant Cambrils royal town status. Other interesting exhibits include the oldest known stone coats of arms from the town. Taking advantage of its extensive collections, the Centre for Cambrils Studies organises temporary exhibitions on the ground floor.

During its lifetime, the tower has also been used as a convent and an optical telegraph tower, the latter in the 19th century.
