The Cambrils Agricultural Cooperative’s former wine cellar is a symbol of the institution’s commitment to combine economic development with culture. In addition to the magnificent building designed in 1920 by Bernardí Martorell with its catenary arches built of bricks fired in local kilns, you can also see the “The Making of Olive Oil and Wine” permanent exhibition. The building has been catalogued as an Asset of Local Cultural Interest.

The main nave of the old wine cellar is now dedicated to showing –in context and with the original machinery and facilities– how wine and olive oil were made, both in the craft and industrial processes. Visitors can follow the successive stages of olive oil and wine making step by step, from the arrival of the freshly harvested fruit to the final extraction of the product. The exhibition includes the vats, a wide variety of presses, mills and tubs; barrels and hogsheads for storage and transport, and other implements and machinery used to make olive oil and wine.

This is also the home of the Agrobotiga, a farm shop where you can buy a wide range of local produce, including the prizewinning Cambrils Protected Designation of Origin Siurana extra virgin olive oil.
