The old pharmacy in the Santa Caterina hospital is considered one of the best preserved pharmacies from the 18th century. The floor is covered by a groin vault decorated with allegorical paintings from the 19th century, which cover older allegorical baroque paintings with a pharmaceutical theme.

From the furniture that remains the medicine cabinet is the most notable piece, where the most important medicine was stored on the shelves. The pharmacy has a collection of over 300 white glazed ceramic pots dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as several mortars, blown glass bottles and wooden containers, among other items. This collection of ceramic pots is one of the largest in Europe for this time period and the number of containers. One of the other key exhibits in the pharmacy is the library, which includes several publications and treaties related to medicine dating from the 18th to the 20th century.
