The Fish Space, a facility located in the magnificent harbour at Palamós, hopes to contribute to furthering knowledge, sustainability and seafood cuisine, all while teaching visitors about little-used species that have a high culinary and gastronomic value. Through its activities programme, the Fish Space promotes fish products from the local area and cooking fresh fish as a staple of a healthy Mediterranean diet, and as a sign the identity of the community. At the same time, it provides information about the port of Palamós, the fishing industry and marketing fish, to help visitors understand the craft and culture of fisherman.
