At the Sant Sebastià de la Guarda monumental complex, visitors can see an Iberian archaeological site (6th to 1st century BC), a watchtower from the 15th century (asset of national cultural interest), a hermitage, a guest house from the 18th century (currently converted into a hotel) and a lighthouse from the 19th century. All of this is perched at the top of the mountain with cliffs soaring around 180 metres above sea level, from which several hikes can be made around the massif following the long-distance trail along the Mediterranean.

The experience of climbing to the top of the watchtower (the highest point on the mountain) is recommendable. The watchtower is a defensive structure built to keep watch over the coastal area and protect it from possible invasions by corsairs and pirates. It retains many of its original features, and once atop it visitors can catch one of the best views of the Costa Brava from its crenellations.
