The Cork Museum is an institution devoted to the interpretation and dissemination of the heritage and lands associated with Catalonia’s cork industry.

The first object in the museum is the building itself, an Art Nouveau factory designed by General Guitart and built between 1900 and 1907. Today it is the home to several different exhibition spaces arranged around a small cork grove.

The museum offers a glimpse of the cork oak forests, of cork itself, of its handcrafted and industrial transformation into a variety of objects, and also an audiovisual showing the spectacular history of what used to be the largest cork factory in Spain and one of the most important in the world.

The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, activities and workshops for children and families, as well as film screenings, lectures, seminars, etc. It also has a shop with cork products.
