The villa at Els Munts stands out essentially,in terms of its residential aspects, as one of the most important in the country by virtue of the scale of its architectural ruins and the sumptuousness of its decor.

This area extended southwards, towards the sea, and consisted of the  big house arranged around a peristyle, several gardens (hortus) and at least two thermal springs.

The best-preserved part of the domus corresponds to part of the ground floor and the entrance, facing the baths. This entrance leads to a semi-underground passageway, the cryptoportico, illuminated by embrasures onto the garden, which provided access to the main rooms of the villa (dining room and reception areas) and to a set of private rooms (antechambers and bedrooms). At the end of the cryptoportico, a staircase led up to the second floor and linked with the peristyle, which is severely damaged today. The second floor housed an arcaded gallery which opened onto the garden.

The main rooms and the corridor were paved with polychrome mosaics, while walls and ceilings were painted with geometric, floral and figurative motifs.
