The collection of household items tells us about the complex economic network of which the villas formed part. The link between the villa of La Carrova and a major waterway such as the Ebre, as well as the proximity of the Mediterranean, indicates the reason for its location here: trade. This primary activity in the Roman world is revealed by the presence of ceramics imported from the Mediterranean and the interior, and the large number of coins unearthed.
