Dalí Theatre-Museum

The Dalí Theatre-Museum, opened in 1974, stands on the remains of the former Municipal Theatre of Figueres and is regarded as Salvador Dalí’s last great work. Everything in it was conceived and designed by the artist to offer visitors a true experience and introduce them into his unique, captivating world.

The Dalí Theatre-Museum’s collection provides visitors with the opportunity to retrace the artistic career of Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) through the wide range of works exhibited there. A tour of the rooms allows visitors to penetrate his first artistic experiences: Surrealism, nuclear Mysticism and his passion for science, which lasted  right up until the works of the last few years of his life.

Visiting the Museum is a unique experience in which you may contemplate, appraise and enjoy the work and thoughts of the genius. As Dalí himself once said: "It's obvious that other worlds exist, that's certain; but, as I've already said on many other occasions, these other worlds are inside ours, they reside on earth and are precisely at the centre of the dome of the Dalí Museum, which contains the new, unexpectedand hallucinatory world of Surrealism".
