The Museu Picasso in Barcelona offers visitors an indepth look at the career of Pablo Picasso through the collection of over 4,200 works from the artist.

Opened to the public in 1963, the museum is now a reference point for those wishing to know more about the artist´s early years and his “Blue Period”, from here the collection takes a leap in time to 1917, when the artist spent some time in the city. It also shows the only series by Picasso that is kept as a whole, Las Meninas, a gift from the artist to the city. The museum is, in fact, the testimony of his relationship with Barcelona, shaped in his adolescence and youth, which lasted until his death.
