The Ter Museum occupies the former Can Sanglas spinning works from 1841. It is located on the banks of the Ter River, where the industrial canal of Manlleu, one of the most emblematic of the Catalan industrialisation (1848), ends its journey of almost two kilometres in a spectacular river setting. The museum is a dynamic space that offers visitors 1,500 m2 of exhibitions and a regular schedule of different activities and proposals for all audiences. Its aim is to present the unique process of industrialisation in this corner of inland Catalonia by the Ter River, along with the biodiversity of our rivers and other Mediterranean rivers. Tts programme includes treasure hunts, dramatised tours, workshops, guided tours, nature activities and more. The Ter Museum is part of the Territorial System of the National Science and Technical Museums of Catalonia.
