The Maritime Museum is the gateway to the MOLL (Lloret Open Museum). The headquarters of this cultural centre are located in Can Garriga, a three-storey house of great historical and cultural value, which the town council acquired in 1981.

The Museum has a large collection of naval models, described by experts as extraordinary, in addition to other objects and materials related to the world of sailing. All of the objects contribute to the culture and history of Lloret.

A visit to the Museum starts with a journey through memories of a relationship that has been lost over time, between Lloret and the sea. The journey continues with voyages and coastal trade around the Mediterranean, and the great adventures of the sailors from Lloret.

The exhibition ends with the disappearance of these great voyages due to steam power, the loss of the colonies in 1890, and the return of those who left, some returning having made their fortune. Finally, there is a display with all the events that have left a mark on the town's culture.
