Since 1848, the year in which Catalonia set the first railway on the Iberian Peninsula in motion, the train has transformed the world, playing an active role in the economy, creating its own landscape and becoming one of our main forms of transport. 

The Catalonia Railway Museum takes you on a visit in which you may enter the world of trains: a world of technology and precision, but also of emotions and memories.

The Catalonia Railway Museum is a unique facility. It is located in the historic steam locomotive depot in Vilanova i la Geltrú. It has an extraordinary collection of steam, electric and diesel locomotives and other elements from the world of trains.
