Castellbisbal is a town in the Vallès Occidental county with a large industrial base and services, but which has gradually become more residential in character. Despite this industrial present, Castellbisbal has historically been an agricultural village, at least since the times of the Roman Empire, based primarily on wine and vegetable produce.
\
\ The Peasantry Museum was founded in 1985 by Mateu brothers, with the collaboration of the townspeople who donated the farming tools and utensils of the daily life of the peasantry to the museum, aware of the gradual disappearance of agriculture.
\
\ The 2006 refurbishment and modernisation allow us to contemplate the current thematic structure, with one floor dedicated to country life, another to fieldwork and the last to transports and markets.
\
\ The museum also has one room for temporary exhibitions.
