The main aim of the Museum of Jewish History is to conserve and spread the history of Jewish communities in Catalonia. Throughout the middle ages, these communities played a decisive role in the historical, cultural and scientific development of the country. The explanations offered in the museum are illustrated by examples from the history of the Jewish community in Girona. These documental, archaeological and iconographic examples present an overview of Jewish ways of life in medieval Catalonia.
