What is the history of the Vallès plain from the earliest settlers to today’s Sabadell? What can the items on display at the Museum tell us? How has one period led to another? The answers to these and other questions may be provided by the permanent exhibition.

\ We shall begin by seeing how the first farmers lived, then enter a reproduction of a prehistoric hut. We shall meet the Iberians and the Romans who settled this territory, and later witness the founding of the city of Sabadell. Finally we will see how the city specialised in textile manufacturing and how it prepared to become a major industrial centre.

\ The museum is located in a house built in 1859. In 1931 it became the City Museum, and in 1970, the History Museum of Sabadell (MHS).

\ The museum also has thirteen extensions of different periods that complete the historical account  and experience of the city.
