Museum Comarcal de l'Urgell-Tàrrega

The Museum Comarcal de l’Urgell-Tàrrega is housed in the old mansion of the Perelló family, and has four permanent exhibitions. The museum stores and displays a considerable collection of fossils from the quarries of Talladell, as well as many painted and sculpted works by Tàrrega artists of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.

It also has a collection of ethnological material, a photographic archive, and an extensive wardrobe of costumes from the early twentieth century, a gift from the family of the distinguished writer from La Segarra, Manuel de Pedrolo.

Since 1989 the museum has edited and published Urtx. Revista de Humanititats d’Urgell (Review of Humanities of Urgell), an annual miscellany of essays and research related to its principal areas of interest entitled.
