The present-day Local District Museum of Cervera is actually a complex comprising three museums with a certain tradition: the old Local District Museum of Cervera, the Wheat and Farming Museum, and finally, the Duran i Sanpere House-Museum.

The medieval art collections are remarkable, and come mainly from religious buildings in the city of Cervera and its district, as well as from the historical collections related to the University of Cervera in the 18^th century; two historical moments that are essential for a better understanding of the history and urban and artistic development of Cervera.

The important ethnographic collections related to the agricultural world before the industrialization of the country, which can be seen at the Wheat and Farming Museum, are also worth mentioning; furthermore, the collections found in the Duran i Sanpere House-Museum portray the typical landed gentry of Segarra.
