The Regional Museum of Berga aims to be the point of promotion and commercialization at the level of cultural tourism at the same time as opening the city to both visitors and the local public.

In this museum we find a selection of pieces that will help us to interpret and see the value of Berga’s history: Late Mediaeval Berga, from which we highlight the ceramic jar from Pedret, dating back to the 13th century. We could say that mediaeval archaeology came into being in Berguedà, the county with the highest number of excavated mediaeval settlements.

Bourbon Berga, a strong fortified city with bastions to defend the Pre-Pyrenees and maintain control over the country. A prosperous, dynamic and artisan city capable of promoting the manufacturing transformation process with Maixerines or Berguedanes, cotton-spinning machines that opened its doors to the industrialisation process in Catalonia. In the museum you can find the original pieces of the famous Maixerina or Berguedana, donated by the descendants of Ramon Soler.

Carlist Berga; Berga became the capital of Carlism and traditionalism, the gateway to the mountains and the plains and a synthesis of opposing identities, half-completed transformations and half-assimilated changes. The setting for the last wars over religion and tradition in Europe.  We highlight the Cal Morlans manual press.
