Catalan Institute of Palaeontology Miquel Crusafont

The Catalan Institute of Palaeontology Miquel Crusafont (ICP) was inaugurated by the Barcelona Provincial Council in 1969. In 2010 it was inaugurated again after being transferred to the Generalitat of Catalonia to be managed by the Foundation of the Catalan Institute of Palaeontology.
\
\ The ICP is a palaeontological research centre dedicated to the research, conservation and dissemination of our country's palaeontological heritage. The ICP museum has two exhibition halls, a permanent exhibition where the centre's five lines of investigation on fossil vertebrates are explained—which feature the reconstruction of a titanosaurus, reproductions of an entire triceratops skeleton and a tyrannosaurus skull—and a room for temporary exhibitions. With the aim of promoting the knowledge of palaeontology and respect for our heritage, the ICP offers activities for schools and families, and seminars, conferences and other activities aimed at an adult audience.
