The interpretation centre, located on the premises of a former manor house, offers a multimedia montage that highlights a unique heritage and enables us to discover what life was like in 14th-century Manresa: the world of the guilds, the oligarchies and the noble families of city; what daily life was like in a medieval street and the factors that made it possible to construct the Sèquia canal.

Carrer del Balç, a street which formed part of the centre of the medieval city emerging into the market area to Plaça Major, is a magnificent example of medieval town planning.

A narrow and winding street, almost like a set of precipices with stepped levels running under porches that were built from house to house to take advantage of the little space available inside the walled city.
