Weight from a scale found at Puig Castellar in the first excavations made by Ferran de Sagarra. This piece, related as it is to the world of commerce, is a stone weight in a spherical shape (8.3 cm in diameter, and weighing 424 g). It is cut on the lower part and has an iron ring to hang it from, with the unique feature of the following inscription: USATAIN ABARAR BAN. This appears to be the name of a person followed by the suffixes –ar–ban. Quite probably this indicated who the owner was, although we cannot rule out the possibility that it had to do with measuring.
