Housed in an impressive modernist industrial building in Terrassa, the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC) takes us on an engaging journey through industrial heritage and science, combining an outstanding collection of objects connected with the industrial past with exhibition spaces adapted for a family audience.
The "star" exhibition of the Museum is "The Textile Factory", showing the process of wool production through the sections of the former Vapor Aymerich, Amat i Jover factory, built in 1907, and now home to the Museum.
On the former shop floor covering some 11,000 square metres, the MNACTEC also features a collection of vintage vehicles, supplemented by the exhibition “Viva Montesa”, containing all the models of the Montesa motorbike marque.
The exhibits also include notable displays focusing on the history of computers, sources of energy, in “Enérgeia”, and the human body.
