Togaed statue from the Roman theatre of Tarragona. Museu Nacional Arqueològic de Tarragona.

Statue of a figure in a toga, from the Roman Theatre of Tarragona. It likely represents Emperor Augustus, and would have presided over the iconographic and iconic arrangement of the scaenae frons. This is a monumental figure, standing around three metres tall, made up of several marble blocks joined by metal fasteners. The piece still shows the remains of its red polychrome in the folds of the toga.

The statue underwent restoration for its inclusion in the TARRACO/MNAT exhibition, commissioned to the Centre for the Restoration of Artefacts of Catalonia (CRBMC).
