This magnificent piece was uncovered during the excavations in 2002. Made of Carrara marble, it was found in the swimming pool, where it was probably left to become powdered lime to be used to make lime mortar. This piece was the leg of a table that must have been part of the luxurious furnishings that surrounded the owner of the villa, and is dated from the 2nd century BC. A similar piece can be found in the Vatican Museum.
