Vitalis Mosaic, 4th century BC. Tossa de Mar Municipal Museum.

The mosaic was found in the entrance. The inscription says ”SALVO VITALE FELIX TURISSA” “EX OFFICINA FELICES”. For the first time, it shows us the name of the town: Turissa. The text means "If Vidal is well, Tossa will be fine". Vidal was the owner of the villa and the figure shown is a woman, which corresponds to the concept of property, as ownership was represented with the female form. The text shows us that the mosaic was made in the workshop of a craftsman named Felix, but no other work by him has been found.
