Fragment of the base of a kylix. Hard, orange-coloured clay with a negligible amount of degreasing agent. Shiny and well-applied black varnish. Decoration akin to the Painter of Vienna 116. In the background of the inner part there is a boy dressed in a himation (a Greek tunic); he is looking to the right and has an outstretched arm that protrudes above the tunic and possibly points to an altar that has not survived. On the outer part of the vessel there are concentric circles in a resist glaze.
