Lion Sculpture. Ca n’Oliver Iberian Settlement and Museum.
This sculpture is the result of joining together two of the three fragments found at the Ca n’Oliver settlement. The first fragment includes front legs and hindquarters of a big cat. The second fragment features the animal’s tail and how it wraps around its back. Given its symbolic nature,the sculpture’s original location may have been the settlement necropolis. It is the example of Iberian sculpture found in the northernmost part of Iberian territory.
