This curious dish is a reflection of trading activities and the adoption of new customs by the Iberians. Its name derives from the fish-based painted decoration that some exemplars have, and the central receptacle intended for the sauce that accompanied the meal. This piece of Greek origin is one of the most spectacular examples of black-varnished imported tableware found at Ca n’Oliver.
