A funeral mosaic with an inscription, found a the Palaeo-Christian necropolis of Tarragona.

It presided over the tomb of the personage portrayed and referred to in the inscription. According to the most widely accepted reading of the inscription, Òptim would have beenthe first Christian in Tarragona, the head of the community and their bishop. In the mosaic he is shown wearing atoga contabulata, in an attitude of prayer and holding a book in his left hand.
