Cope of Bishop Bellera, c. 1350-1375. Vic Episcopal Museum.

The cope of Ramon de Bellera, Bishop of Vic between 1352 and 1377, was left to the cathedral after his death. It was taken apart in the 17th century and used to create the vestments of Bernat Despujol. Mossèn Gudiol restored it between 1898 and 1899. The cope is made of red velvet with figures of gold and polychrome silk embroidered inopus anglicanum, the English style from the 13th to the end of the 14th centuries, characterised by the rendering of slender expressive figures. It was made between 1350 and 1370, a time that favoured the use of expressive representations.
