A bronze buckle from the 4th century BC found in the Iberian site of Sant Miquel de Sorba (Montmajor, Berguedà region). The outer surface shows the remains of a layer of gold. The decoration consists of spirals and two superimposed figures of stylised horses surrounded by small geometric motifs. Horses were very important for the pre-Roman peoples in times both of war and peace. They were used as decorative motifs and sometimes for funerary goods as a symbol of immortality.
