In this part of the ground floor, visitors can see how cork is removed from the tree through a collection of photographs by Josep Capellà and an audiovisual screening. There is also an area of games and educational materials for children. In the centre of the room, visitors can handle the raw material, from its original form until it has been transformed by factories. They can study the cork with magnifying glasses and see its properties in the different interactive videos. They can also see a selection of objects that have been manufactured over the years, making the most of the characteristics of cork. Finally, in the Cork in Progress area, visitors are asked to participate in evaluating the museography.
