Pelton Turbine. Castellar de n'Hug Cement Museum.
In order to make the most of the energy of the water and to avoid the variability of the flow of a Mediterranean river - and taking into account the characteristics of the unevenness of the factory - a series of Pelton turbines were used. different levels of the factory according to the energy needs of the facilities that were in each of them and that provided a power of 2,490 CV. These turbines set the machinery in motion by the action of the kinetic energy of the water, without prior transformation into electrical energy.
