Valls Museum was established in the 1950s. It has two distinct collections: one of Catalan art from the last 150 years comprising more than 2,500 works, and an archaeological collection focusing on the Iberian period, which is not currently open to the public.

The art collection has been built up thanks to artists’ donations, purchases made by the museum and above all the generosity of various patrons, including Mr and Mrs Rodón Giró, Dr Estil·las, Francesc Blasi i Vallespinosa, Francesc Català-Roca and Daniel Giralt-Miracle.
