Panel of the Virgin of the Procurators, 17th century. Tortosa Museum.

The Procurators made up the executive power of the town and acted in the name and representation of their council. This panel painting depicts them in formal dress and is an excellent historical record of the municipal government. It probably presided over an important area in the town hall, either on its own or as part of an altarpiece.
