Catalan Modernisme recovered the art of stained glass, taking medieval stained glass as its reference point.

With Modernisme, stained glass assumed a leading role in the domestic realm, a hitherto unimaginable development.

This stained-glass pane, by the Mauméjean brothers, is from the gallery, the space next to the salon which opens directly onto the patio. It features natural elements with sinuous curved outlines, garlands of fruit and floral elements.

The full splendour of the work is achieved when the sun shines directly from the patio onto the glass, thereby transforming the light into colours.
