The precinct of Seu d’Ègara.
Esglésies de Sant Pere constitutes an exceptional element in the Catalan historical and artistic heritage.
Sant Pere, Sant Miquel and Santa Maria and the archaeological and artistic heritage they contain embrace an uninterrupted period from the time of the Iberians to the present day.
The remnants of the buildings which formed part of the episcopal see of Ègara during the Visigothic period (4th to 7th centuries) are truly impressive, as are the Romanesque mural paintings from the early Middle Ages, the Gothic altarpieces and the architecture of the three churches.
The Seu d'Ègara is candidate to be declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
