Men’s bathing costume in black with horizontal white stripes made of jersey knit. This piece is sleeveless and has short legs. One of the straps has an opening which is secured with two buttons. In the 1920s, the leisure associated with bathing in the sea spread along the entire coastline of Catalonia and became popular among the middle and working classes. The coastline of the Maresme, which was easily accessible by train, was filled with baths like Sant Cristòfor in El Masnou, where the bathers rented all sorts of equipment, from bathing costumes to swim caps and cork belts.
