Fragment of a jar from Genó (Aitona) with schematic decoration of a deer.

Fragment of a jar from Genó (Aitona) with schematic decoration of a deer.

Fragment of the upper part of a large jar used for storing food found in the dig at Genó. It is remarkable for the singularity of its decoration, which uses strings of clay laid down in such a way as to sketch out the outline of a deer. It dates from between 1250 and 1000 BC.
