The Interpretation Centre is housed in the former olive oil mill on the Martí Farm, one of the oldest in Santa Bàrbara. The permanent exhibition explains the colonisation and exploitation of the Montsià Plain from the 18th century in seven thematic areas: the physical features of the Plain; the area’s colonisation and new towns; the Martí Farm and its architecture; traditional olive cultivation; traditional production, use and sale of olive oil and the changes in the sector in recent years. The palaeontology and mineral collections can also be seen and there is a multipurpose room for holding events and exhibitions.
