A wooden tool similar to a normal plane, but much larger and with a handle or hand grip. It has a prismatic wooden structure crossed obliquely from top to bottom by a steel blade finished at the bottom with a very fine cut and fixed into a housing with a wooden wedge. It is used to plane wood by passing it repeatedly across the surface in a parallel direction.

Legend: “From sunrise to sunset I have worked docilely in the hands of the master to serve a job well done, and now I rest fittingly.”
