La Conca de Barberà is a county in Catalonia located in the north of the province of Tarragona. It is one of the most clearly defined counties from the historical standpoint, with a name that was used as far back as the 17th century.
There is information showing settlements in the county during the Neolithic period, and some sites have been found that show that the county was inhabited back in this period.
The county has a large number of monuments and natural wealth. Forests and vineyards predominate the landscape, along with wheat fields and olive tree groves.
