The museum conserves many dignified tools that are currently obsolete. These implements retrieved from the countryside, especially from farmers, are a huge part of our history. Learning about the values of the rural world is a necessary part of explaining how we have reached where we are today.

Some of these tools take on a new formal dimension when they are used as sculptural elements.

The recovery, restoration, rehabilitation and recycling of old tools to give them a new lease on life allows our history and its accompanying values to be disseminated. This exhibition is a modest tribute to farmers and the rural world.

We have to know where we come from to know where we’re going.
