Traditional painting by Marià Vayreda, intellectual and cultural figure in Olot at the end of the 19th century. The painting shows an almost literary scene where an altar boy stands in the foreground compared to the priest. The composition of the figures is enriched by a docile and humble landscape, reflecting the characters shown. The balance of colour blends in with the landscape and the vanishing mist that hardly let us see the horizon.
