Theropods, a group of dinosaurs, were the fiercest predators of the Mesozoic Era; their serrated teeth and sharp claws are clear reminders of their role. Few remains of carnivores have been found in Catalonia, either because the ratio between carnivores and herbivores was very low or because their bones were hollow like those of birds.
