This reconstruction of a dinosaur is the fruit of a collaboration between art and science. The body proportions were calculated from measurements taken from different fossilised bones found in the locality. The shape and arrangement of the feet were based on photos and sketches of the many fossil footprints these animals left on the soft mud that hardened into rock, as can be seen at the exposed beds at La Posa and Orcau 2. Finally other aspects such as the shape of the skull and the appearance and texture of the skin have been recreated by studying fossils from other dinosaur species which are close in evolutionary lineage to the Pararhabdodon isonensis.
