The purpose of this unit is to preserve and disseminate the cultural and material heritage of L’Hospitalet. The permanent exhibition and educational resources are the main tools for disseminating knowledge on the historical, political and cultural developments in the city from its inception.
The Casa Espanya, L’Harmonia and Can Riera buildings make up this museum space with permanent and temporary exhibitions on history, art and democratic memory.
"L’Hospitalet: un indret, una història" (L'Hospitalet: One Place, One History) takes us into the city’s evolution between the 19th and the late 20th centuries: the transition from a society based on agriculture and its cycles to one based on industry and services.
