Prehistoric stone axe.

This prehistoric stone axe is triangular in shape and has convex sides and edges. The axe’s stone surface has been worked over with a chisel or pick or some such implement, to leave it pocked with tiny indentations. This tool was attached to a wooden shaft and was used to fell trees and cut them up for firewood and other uses.
